This book will show you what determination and focus can do for any
individual that has goals. Although not all journeys end well, they
all end with experiences, some tragic, some educational and some
happy.
EILEEN MOLONEY
When speaking about a "journey", it is easy to just think of a trip from one place to another, however, this book takes you on an emotional rollercoaster. Immigrating to NYC from Ireland in the 1970's, the author had to adapt to dealing with the culture shock, fast paced environment and melting pot of cultures. Starting out with nothing and trying to keep their family's head above water the author had to overcome adversity by getting an education, working multiple jobs, raising a family all while dealing with an absentee husband. This book will show you what determination and focus can do for any individual that has goals. Although not all journeys end well, they all end with experiences, some tragic, some educational and some happy.
By Eileen Moloney I was born in a small town in Ennis, County Clare, Ireland in 1950 is where my story began. At the ripe old age of 16, my friend Martin and sister Mary Joe decided to travel to London to seek employment. We found work in one of the hotels in London as chambermaid and Martin was a doorman. These were live-in positions. In 1969 Martin and I went home to get married in our home town of Ennis. In 1974 we emigrated to America, where Martin worked as a bartender and I was a cook and caterer. In the course of my stay in New York, I attended many courses and college where I achieved a master's degree and a Permanent School Adm License. In 2012 I retired from the school system and had time to reflect on my life's journey. The process of writing this book helped me get rid of unwanted negative of my life journey so I can move forward Thanksgiving to very nice people I met on my journey and thanking God for all the angels he sent my way.
